Uncontested Divorce
New York divorce services for uncontested divorce and no fault
divorce are
provided by our office through a separate dedicated website. That site,
www.NYDivorceNow.com, is available for use by any
individual who can file for divorce in any county in New York State.
The divorce process can be streamlined for clients
who are able to work amicably with their spouse to arrive at
a settlement solution. This service is not
appropriate for couples who cannot work together to
reach a settlement.
When using our Online Divorce website, you are retaining
the services of the attorneys in our office and we will
not represent both parties. Only one spouse can
retain our services.
Our
online service should not be confused with "fill in the forms" sites that
are
run by non-attorneys or paralegals. When you use
our site, you can be assured that an attorney is responsible for properly
completing and filing your papers, responding to all
of your questions and handling all aspects of your case.
Interstate Services
New York divorce services
are provided by our office for any individual who is
subject to the authority of a New York Court.
Given the mobile nature of our society, many of the
matters that we handle involve issues of interstate
support, custody and/or divorce. In those matters,
we represent litigants who reside in New York and those
who reside outside of the state.
Many of our clients seeking
family law services in New York are either residents of another state or have
spouses who are residents of another state. In
those cases, when New York State has jurisdiction, our
office can provide assistance.
Mediation
A New York divorce can be obtained after mediation
services have been utilized.
Jean Mahserjian is trained in divorce mediation, but does not offer direct mediation services.
Rather,
our office works closely with area mediators and
we refer many cases to mediation for resolution. To review information on our
mediation referrals, go to our
Divorce Mediation page.
